Vacancy - Senior Aftercare Officer

This position is primarily concerned with facilitating local direct investments (LDI), generating reinvestments and working with stakeholders to operationalize both FDI and LDI projects in Trinidad and Tobago (inclusive of tenanting parks under InvesTT’s mandate). Core aspects of the role include local direct investor targeting, investor aftercare, investment monitoring, and identifying investment bottlenecks with a view to informing the Agency’s Policy Advocacy efforts.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work intimately with investors to facilitate and operationalize investment projects in a timely manner.
  2. Identify LDI projects, target investors and generate reinvestments from tenured investors and MNCs.
  3. Support the advancement of LDI and reinvestment projects through the pipeline and further to closure.
  4. Collaborate with other areas within InvesTT, as well as external Stakeholders to identify new reinvestment opportunities.
  5. Deliver together with the team, the Investor Services target for closed LDI and reinvestments.
  6. Investment Monitoring and Aftercare.
  7. Identify, escalate and document investor challenges to inform Policy Advocacy.
  8. Respond to and qualify prospective tenant inquiries, application completion support and qualitative assessment of investor applications for Industrial Parks and approval agencies for completeness and accuracy.
  9. Submission of Reports/ Briefs as required, for Management, Board and Line Ministry.
  10. Submission of Quarterly Investment Monitoring Report.
  11. Exhibit leadership qualities and provide sound supervisory support to ensure smooth operational flow of the Department. 
  12. Comply fully with the Company’s policies and procedures, and adhere to the Company’s Core Values and Charter of Business Ethics by daily demonstration of associated behavior.
  13. Perform any other duties as required by the job function.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Business, Communications, International Affairs or related discipline.
  2. A Master’s degree and/or MBA is not necessary but would be an asset.
  3. At least 5 years working experience in a professional office, preferably in a sales environment.
  4. Education or experience outside of T&T would be an asset.
  5. Experience in the start-up or expansion process of companies would be an asset.

Or, any other equivalent combination of qualification and experience.
