InvesTT and eTecK hosted a presentation on 23rd August to stakeholders in Moruga on the opportunities and benefits to be gained at the soon-to-be-opened Moruga Agro-Processing and Light Industrial Park. The event was held at the St. Mary’s Government Primary school and was well attended by members of the Tableland Pineapple Association, ADB, NAMDEVCO, Moruga Constituency Area Office, MP for the area Dr. the Honourable Lovell Francis, Network of Rural Women Producers, IICA, Moruga Museum, TTMA, UdeCoTT, concerned citizens and farmers.
Built on 18.83 acres of state land on Saunders Trace, the Moruga park offers 6 land lots and 5 specialized factory shells for the processing of innovative products from cocoa, pineapples, pepper, root crops, fish and other agricultural resources grown in Moruga and its surrounding areas. It is expected to be opened in September by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
