InvesTT, Trinidad and Tobago’s national Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) has received the 2020 “Top Investment Promotion Agencies Award – National” in the region of the Caribbean & Latin America. The announcement was released in May 2020 by US based global corporate expansion experts, Conway Data, Inc. which has been a trusted advisor to corporations, government economic development and investment promotion agencies around the world since 1954.
InvesTT received the internationally recognized award on three previous occasions - the first awarded in 2015, just two years after the IPA’s establishment, the second in 2017 and the most recent in 2019. Conway also ranked Trinidad and Tobago as second overall “Best to Invest Location” in the Caribbean region ahead of Jamaica and St. Lucia.

The Top IPA Award is presented annually to high performing IPAs based on their professional staff, preparedness, leadership, and the overall success demonstrated by the IPA on a daily basis.

According to Adam Jones-Kelley, President of Conway and Publisher of Site Selection magazine, the ranking recognizes IPAs from every region of the world deemed to be best in class and most proficient at doing the hyper-critical work of creating jobs for their citizens. He also indicated that leading agencies will play an integral role in helping rebuild economies, and replace the jobs lost, in response to the unprecedented challenge of a post COVID-19 world.
