According to Neil Ramroop, Senior Manager, Planning and Initiatives at Ramps Logistics, “we saw e TecK's Phoenix Park Industrial Estate as an excellent opportunity to expand our business and improve our service to our existing customers.”
Mr Shaun Rampersad, CEO, Ramps Logistics shared that “the proximity of the Industrial Estate to the Port of Point Lisas is particularly attractive” as sea freight services and distribution are required to support their clients who operate in the food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, furniture and appliances and energy sectors. Ramroop added that “The Estate’s IT infrastructure technology including a 5G network, is also a top-selling point” and believes that “the Estate will foster a growing business community to network and gain new business.”

The project which is valued at approximately TT$26,000,000 is a significant investment milestone for InvesTT as it pushes the agency closer to its 2022 local direct investment target of $180 million. To date, inclusive of this project, InvesTT has secured approximately $57 million in local direct investments.
With the construction of e TecK’s Phoenix Park Industrial Estate estimated to be completed in May 2022, InvesTT is seeing an uptick in interest from local and international operators in the logistics, manufacturing and ICT sectors. The investment promotion agency continues to provide reliable and timely facilitation to companies seeking to apply for tenancy at the Industrial Estate. Investments into this new modern estate by high-value industry principals will significantly contribute to the economic development of Trinidad and Tobago and supports Government’s diversification thrust in the non-energy sectors.
